1991

Founding of Butler Industries

Walter Butler founds Butler Industries in Paris.

1993

BBDP

First turnaround operation: acquisition of the advertising group, employing over 3,000 people in eight countries. Four years later, the group merged with global leader Omnicom.

1997

SEFIMEG

First real estate investments: 32,000 m² acquired from AXA.

1998

Osiatis

Butler Industries remained a shareholder of the IT services company for eighteen years. During this period, Osiatis grew from 600 to 4,500 employees. In 2013, it merged with the Econocom group, of which Butler Industries is the second-largest shareholder.

SNCM

Acquisition of the Société Nationale de transport maritime Corse Méditerranée.

2006

PSG

Acquisition of the Parisian football club, in partnership with Colony Capital and Morgan Stanley.

2009

First investments in debt

The WBO fund, dedicated to European credit investments, was launched a year later. A total of twelve investments were made across Europe, including 20:20, Feu Vert, Selecta, Hilding Anders...

2011

Interadapt

First direct investment in Latin America. Since then, the company has doubled in size.

Anovo

The largest acquisition of a company in receivership in France over the last ten years. In three years, the company grew from 4,000 to 5,400 employees and its revenue from €250 million to €350 million before being integrated with Ingram Micro.

Safetic

First investments in the security sector.

Mainland China

Launch of the platform in Mainland China.

NextiraOne

Acquisition of the leading independent French company specializing in the integration of Telecom and digital solutions for businesses.

2017

Creation of the Corum Butler group

An independent European asset management group specializing in High Yield bond management and real estate investment, with over 9 billion euros in assets under management.

Cheops Technology

Acquisition of a minority stake in this Bordeaux-based IT services company, one of France's leaders in cloud computing and a specialist in secure IT infrastructures.

Paradis Latin

Acquisition of the world's oldest cabaret, created by Napoleon in 1803 and rebuilt by Gustave Eiffel concurrently with his tower.

La Brillane

Acquisition of a 12-hectare wine estate located near Aix-en-Provence.

2018

Singapore Office

Establishment of the Singapore office to strengthen presence in Southeast Asia.

NextiraOne

The company partners with the Fayat industrial group.

2021

Groupe Pierre Hermé

Acquisition of the world's most famous luxury pastry group in partnership with Pierre Hermé.

2022

Seaowl Group

Acquisition of 100% of this mid-cap company specializing in maritime services for defense and offshore oil and gas, generating over 80% of its revenue outside France.

2023

L'Ambroisie

Acquisition of a majority stake in the Place des Vosges restaurant, a landmark of French gastronomy and Paris's oldest 3-Michelin-starred restaurant.

2025

Moma Group

Acquisition of Moma Group, a major player in hospitality in Paris and internationally, offering around thirty restaurants and event venues combining high-end cuisine, refined design, and festive atmospheres.

2026

Paris Paradis

Launch of Paris Paradis in Dubai, an international adaptation of Paradis Latin's expertise, to export the art of Parisian cabaret beyond our borders.

Founding of Butler Collection, a lifestyle group bringing together all our ventures in hospitality, entertainment, and luxury.
